They are staying on continually. I have made sure the switch is set to off and manually pushed the lights to turn them off. Nothing works. All of the following conditions must be met before the engine will remote start: • Vehicle in PARK. • Doors closed. • Hood closed. • Trunk closed. • Hazard switch off. • Brake switch inactive (brake pedal not pushed) • Battery at an acceptable charge level. • RKE panic button not pushed.7 people found this helpful. 2 people found this helpful. The way it works is when it's on low beams (the majority of the time) there is a "shutter" inside the projector lens that blocks half the bulb, with it off if you look closely you can see it. The act of crushing the fob almost certainly killed the transmit function of remote keyless entry/ RKE - which is why you had to open the door using the metal key.Just make sure all of the fuses are secure, recharge your battery, because the battery has probably been drained. Also, there are common issues with chrysler and dodge with the fuel relay, so it is could be what's draining your battery because the TIPM may need to be reset... or, like mine, the fuses had come loose.Posted: Nov 16, 2016.
