A bad switch will kill both weld power and wire feed. A bad switch will also prevent power from getting to the rectifier. That is a problem with 120 volt welders. 1) see can change the welder to 240 volt some Lincoln welder can be changed. 2) I fix by buying a 240 volt welder. 3) cheat use a 30 amp breaker some will use the dryer breaker in the garage. This will bridge the switch circuit and make the welder feed. If it works, the problem is the gun, (tip, liner) and if it doesnt, the issue is somewhere else in your machine.
